Na veel testen met allerlei WordPress plugins en Linux commando’s eindelijk een werkende mogelijkheid gevonden om een volledige kloon/backup van deze (mattizz.nl) website te maken: Duplicator. Ik heb deze WordPress plugin op mattizz.nl gebruikt, de gegenereerde (zip – en een installer.php) bestanden overgezet naar mijn Synology NAS en daar de plugin weer gebruikt om de backup online te brengen. Binnen de Duplicator instellingen kan op de NAS de verbinding met de MySQL-database gemaakt worden zodat deze (op localhost) zonder problemen geconfigureerd en gevuld wordt. Een goede uitleg word gegeven op https://www.wplounge.nl/wordpress-website-verhuizen-duplicator. De gratis versie voldoet uitstekend en er is geen reden de betaalversie aan te schaffen.
Mastodon beschrijft zichzelf als een open-source gedecentraliseerd sociaal netwerk. Het is eigendom van de gemeenschap en volledig vrij van reclame. In tegenstelling tot Twitter is het niet een enkele website, maar werkt het als een verzameling van zelf gehoste servers waar je afhankelijk van je interesses lid van kunt worden. Het is echter niet zomaar een Twitter-kloon, Mastodon heeft een paar functies die zich onderscheiden van Twitter, vooral rond privacy. Je kunt automatische verwijdering van berichten instellen, waarbij berichten van een bepaalde leeftijd zichzelf verwijderen. Je kunt je ook afmelden voor indexering door zoekmachines en je kunt goedkeuring vereisen voordat mensen je kunnen volgen. Eind oktober (2022) zijn er volgens de oprichter maandelijks ruim 1 miljoen actieve gebruikers op het Mastodon-netwerk.

Stap voor stap: hoe maak je een account aan?
Mastodon werkt in een app voor OS of app voor Android, of direct in je browser. We kiezen nu even voor de browser. Kijk eerst bij welke server je wilt aansluiten. Hier een handig overzicht. Een goede voor ons land is bijvoorbeeld mastodon.nl. Kies Registreren.
Je maakt een nieuwe account aan. Je geeft een gebruikersnaam, een e-mailadres (alleen voor de registratie, dit wordt niet openbaar gemaakt) en een wachtwoord op.
In je gebruikersnaam is sowieso de naam van je community verweven. Zo maak je bijvoorbeeld @jouwnaam@mastodon.nl aan in de community ‘mastodon.nl’.
Je gaat akkoord met de voorwaarden van de server waar je je bij registreert. Er is bij de meeste een vorm van moderatie. Je kunt niet zomaar alles zeggen binnen de community. Seks en haatberichten zijn meestal taboe.

Privéberichten Je kunt ook privéberichten sturen naar andere gebruikers. Hoewel het verzenden even duurt. Dit doe je door een bericht als ‘privé’ te kenmerken. Anders ziet iedereen het bericht. Er wordt nog gewerkt aan een goede beveiliging van privéberichten.
Transparantie Het streven van Mastodon is op dit gebied goed. Door de transparantie en het open karakter van het platform kunnen gebruikers meer grip krijgen op hun online communicatie. Mastodon heeft goede kans om door te groeien. Het platform werkt vaak nogal traag. Toch is Mastodon het verkennen waard. Zeker als je controle over je gegevens wilt houden.

The fact that Plex closed its plugin service does not necessarily mean the end of Plex IPTV watching. With a virtual tuner like xTeVe, you can disguise IPTV playlists as the regular TV channels that can be played by Plex. Thus you don’t need an IPTV plugin for Plex any longer. About Plex and IPTV
Plex is a popular home media server-client software to stream one’s personal media collections like videos, music, and photos locally and remotely. It also supports live TV channels watching and recording. As long as there is an internet connection, users can access their media libraries anytime and anywhere.
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television, which serves to deliver television content over IP networks in contrast to the traditional terrestrial, satellite, and cable television formats. It also provides a lot more live TV channels (up to thousands) than the traditional methods, and at a much lower price. To watch IPTV, an IPTV player is needed to process the IPTV playlists. And users can hence access unlimited live sports events, PPV, world news, and international channels readily through the player. Currently, the most popular IPTV players are Kodi (free), Plex, and VLC (free).
Enabling IPTV for Plex used to be easy with the Plex plug-ins service in the past. But ever since the removal of that service, things became tricky. During the plugin-void time, several remedies have emerged to this, yet most workarounds are down by now. As of writing this article, there is one last workable way to fix Plex IPTV watching. Follow the instructions below to know more.
xTeVe op Docker
Ik heb zelf Plex en xTeVe op een Synology NAS draaien (DS716+II, fysiek geheugen 8192 MB), Plex (Pass) geïnstalleerd dmv het Synology Media Center en xTeVe in Docker (alturismo/xteve).
For now, the most reliable way to enable Plex IPTV service is through xTeVe, a free and open-source M3U proxy. It can emulate a tuner to wrap the IPTV M3U playlist as regular TV channels that can be streamed on Plex. The following information is how to make Plex M3U IPTV work through xTeVe.
Als xTeVe draait (bij mij op poort 34400 wordt de onderstaande interface getoond en doorloop daarna de getoonde stappen, vergeet vooral de “filter” stap niet want Plex kan niet meer dan 480 kanalen tonen en het filteren zorgt ervoor dat je die limiet niet overschrijdt. Doe je dat wel dan werkt xTeVe niet op Plex.

From the EPG source drop-down options, select XEPG. It will allow you to import and edit external XMLTV files. Then hit Next.

Go to Mapping and you should see all the filtered channels displayed on the list. Note that the channels highlighted in red have incomplete information and won’t be available on Plex. You need to manually map the incomplete channel to an EPG channel. Right-click on one of the unavailable channels to start mapping. When you are done with mapping, hit Save.
Go to Live TV & DVR in Plex and click SET UP PLEX DVR. Occasionally, Plex can’t detect your tuner device. Then click Enter its network address manually and enter *Your IP Address*:34400, such as 192.168.0.106:34400. Then hit CONNECT. The xTeVe tuner will appear, click on it.

Choose your country and check the channel list. Make sure it’s the right playlist and click CONTINUE.
Click the orange-colored sentence Have an XMLTV guide on your server? Click here to use that instead and enter http://*Your IP Address*:34400/xmltv/xteve.xml in the XMLTV GUIDE box. Then click CONTINUE.
You’ll see all the available channels listed in detail. Check whether the channel is matching with the XMLTV guide data. Then click CONTINUE. Voila! You’ve completed the Plex IPTV setup.

Van Vangelis’ wikipedia: Vangelis (Evanghelos Odysseas Papathanasiou) is geboren bij Volos in Griekenland. Als vierjarig kind gaf hij zijn eerste concert voor ongeveer 2000 luisteraars. Hij is grotendeels een autodidact: hij heeft bijvoorbeeld nooit muziekles gehad en was nauwelijks in staat bladmuziek te lezen of te schrijven.
Midden jaren 60 formeerde hij de groep Forminx, die in Griekenland heel populair werd. Vangelis richtte de progressieve rockgroep Papathanassiou Set op, later Aphrodite’s Child genaamd, met onder meer Demis Roussos. In Europa scoorde de groep vele hits, onder andere Rain and Tears. In 1972 ging Aphrodite’s Child uit elkaar, nog voor de verschijning van hun laatste lp, 666.
Tijdens de Aphrodite’s Childperiode begon Vangelis in 1970 aan een solocarrière. In dat jaar maakte hij de filmmuziek voor Franse films. Zijn eerste echte soloalbum, Earth, kwam in 1973 uit. In 1974 werd Vangelis gevraagd om Rick Wakeman te vervangen bij de groep Yes. Na enkele weken oefenen, bleken de muzikale ideeën te ver uit elkaar te liggen om tot samenwerking te komen en werd Wakeman vervangen door de Zwitserse toetsenist Patrick Moraz. Wel heeft Vangelis later regelmatig samengewerkt met de zanger van Yes, Jon Anderson (samen maakten ze diverse albums onder de naam Jon & Vangelis). In 1974 vertrok Vangelis naar Londen. Hij tekende een contract bij RCA Records en begon zijn eigen studio, Nemo Studio genaamd. Albums uit deze periode waren Heaven and Hell, Beaubourg, Spiral en Albedo 0.39.
Eind jaren 70 stapte Vangelis over van het RCA-label naar Polydor (thans Universal Music). Onder dit label ontstonden de eerste albums met Jon Anderson en zijn populairste album Chariots of Fire.
In 1982 kreeg hij de Oscar voor de beste filmmuziek voor zijn werk voor Chariots of Fire. Het themanummer van deze film kwam, na een jaar in de Amerikaanse Billboardhitlijst te hebben gestaan, op nummer 1.
In 1983 werd hij genomineerd voor een Golden Globe in de categorie Best Original Score – Motion Picture voor de muziek van de film Blade Runner.
In 1995 scoorde Vangelis in Europa een grote hit met Conquest of Paradise. Het lied, dat al uit 1992 stamde, beleefde een plotselinge hype en verkocht alleen in Nederland al 100.000 exemplaren. Het is een van de grootste hits aller tijden.
Vangelis legde zich in deze periode voornamelijk toe op het componeren van filmmuziek. Zijn muziek voor Blade Runner van Ridley Scott, Missing, Bitter Moon van Roman Polanski en films voor de Franse documentairemaker Frédéric Rossif zijn hiervan voorbeelden. Soloprojecten in deze periode waren de albums Invisible Connections, Mask, The City en Direct. In 2004 schreef hij de muziek voor Alexander van Oliver Stone, deze muziek is in dat jaar ook op cd verschenen. Zijn laatste projecten waren de compositie en uitvoering van de muziek in de film El Greco (overigens niet te verwarren met zijn gelijknamige studioalbum uit 1998) en medewerking aan de soundtrack voor de Poolse documentaire over Paus Johannes-Paulus II, Świadectwo.
Overlijden Op 17 mei 2022 overleed Vangelis op 79-jarige leeftijd in een Frans ziekenhuis in Parijs, waar hij op dat moment werd behandeld voor COVID-19.

This video is addressed to our neighbors and the whole world! We understand that many people in Russia and Belarus are afraid of their government and are just waiting. But at this time, many people are dying in our country. If the neighboring peoples do not remain silent, but take to the streets with slogans “no war”, then many lives will be saved! We cry out for help to them – don’t be silent, help us! In De Troubadours reist muzikant en presentator Christon Kloosterboer door Gelderland met zijn pick-up wagen vol instrumenten. Hij ontmoet bekende Gelderse collega-muzikanten. Deze zangers en zangeressen leiden Christon rond in ‘hun’ streek of stad en vertellen, op locatie, een bijzonder verhaal over die plek welke hem of haar inspireert. Christon en Frans gaan samen op pad in en rond Tiel. Zowel bij Frans als in de stad Tiel draait alles om handel. Frans zijn handelaarsfamilie streek ooit met de woonwagen neer rond Tiel en zijn nooit meer weggegaan. Christon haalt Frans op in Beneden-Leeuwen, bij zijn opslag en kantoor van zijn drankhandel, een enorme loods met van alles en nog wat. Van pallets vol met condooms tot ziekenhuisbedden en van een kingsize jacuzzi tot dozen vol sterke drank. Samen rijden ze naar Tiel en stappen op Neeltje Jantje, een van de laatst overgebleven Waalschokkers. Ze varen over de Waal met Tiel op de achtergrond, Frans vertelt over de liefde voor deze stad. In het streekmuseum ontmoeten Frans en Christon Peter Schipper hij kan alles vertellen over het handelsverleden van Tiel en laat een bijzondere munt zien. Tot slot spelen we het vers geschreven nummer ‘Hier hoor ik thuis’ in een kroeg aan het marktplein, midden in Tiel.
